![]() I don’t have many great pictures of it right now, but can get more when I’m able to pick it up from the shop. So I’m not worried about a TON of water pressure on these seems during travel. Are there any better solutions to solving a rivet seam that might be more permanent/give us a bit more life out of her? We’re not planning on using a powerful motor, just 5HP so performance isn’t the issue and we probably won’t get up on plane with it. They said there’s nothing they can do but being that I’m trying to salvage a piece of my families history so that I can take my own son on the water in it I’m not accepting that as an answer quite yet and I’m not THAT handy myself.įrom the bit of research I’ve done it seems that epoxy, flex seal, and other sealants are basically putting the boat on life support. So now I turn to trying to solve that problem. ![]() The welding shop has fixed a hole in the bottom of it but stated that when they filled it up it leaked from the seams in a few places. I have inherited my great grandfathers 1970’s aluminum Valco boat.
